Banff, Jasper and the Canadian Rockies are world class destinations and economy hotels or low cost cabins do not exist. You will find the range a little higher than most other National Parks destinations in the USA and Canada. Be prepared to pay a little more and be sure to book well in advance as there are limited numbers of places to stay in the Banff area and they can be filled up (for summer and Christmas) 6-10 months in advance. The most common problem we encounter is that people are looking for quaint, secluded cabins that are economical, these types of cabins do not exist in Banff due to the severe building restrictions associated with being in a National Park and a UNESCO World Heritage site.
