Your guides are expert in keeping bears at a safe distance without sacrificing exciting viewing. Return by air to Churchill on day four and take time to explore your new surroundings. On your last day, travel across the tundra in a world famous Tundra Buggy for more Polar bear viewing and ‘lunch with the bears’ to end your magnificent adventure in style.

ITINERARY

Day 1 Arrive in Churchill

Your adventure begins from Churchill, with an exciting flight over the historic Churchill River, and northwest to the rugged Hudson Bay coast and Canada's most exclusive Polar Bear Lodge. Keep a sharp eye out en route for caribou, moose, seals, wolves, and of course polar bears. Today, discover the rugged and starkly beautiful coastline on a guided hike of the area and enjoy a gourmet lunch and dinner at the Lodge with your hosts and guides. Polar Bears are known to saunter by the lodge on a regular basis so you can often view them from the warmth and comfort of one of the lounges through the large picture windows.

Days 2-3 Polar Bear Viewing

Spend two full days experiencing the unique environment of the Polar Bears of Hudson Bay. Search for Polar Bears another local wildlife on guided, comfortably paced walks, geared towards plenty of viewing and photo opportunities. Your guides are expert in keeping bears at a safe distance without sacrificing exciting viewing.

Walking tours leave after breakfast however should there be a polar bear in camp (this happens frequently) the walking tour is delayed for picture taking. Weather permitting; lunches will be taken out in the field. Overnight at Polar Bear Lodge. Evenings are spent in the lodge around the fireplace and feature informative and exciting lectures and slide presentations by tour leaders.

Day 4 Churchill

After a hearty breakfast, travel back to Churchill on another exciting flight. Upon arrival in Churchill, you will be escorted to your overnight accommodation to check-in before joining the group for lunch at a local restaurant. Enjoy a brief tour and orientation of Churchill, and then spend the afternoon at your leisure visiting the shops, the world-renowned Eskimo Museum, or the Parks Canada Centre. Dog sledding can also be arranged for those who are interested.

Day 5 Churchill Departure

Today you will travel across the tundra in a world famous Tundra Buggy for more polar bear viewing. Lunch "with the bears" is included. Your Polar Bear Experience concludes in Churchill this evening.
