Eastbound
Day 1 Vancouver Arrival
Arrive in Vancouver and spend time exploring this scenic city on
your own. Admission to the Vancouver Lookout with spectacular
views of the city, mountains and ocean is included. Overnight
in Vancouver.
Day 2 Vancouver to Kamloops
Travel onboard the Rocky Mountaineer from the coastal city of Vancouver
to Kamloops in the heart of British Columbia’s interior. On today’s
journey you will see dramatic changes in scenery, from the lush
green fields of the Fraser River Valley, through forests and
winding river canyons surrounded by the peaks of the Coast and
Cascade Mountains, to the arid environment of the interior. Highlights
include the rushing waters of Hell’s Gate in the Fraser Canyon
and the steep slopes and rock sheds along the Thompson River,
before you ease along the shores of Kamloops Lake and into Kamloops.
Dinner in Kamloops is included this evening. Overnight in Kamloops.
Day 3 Kamloops to Banff
Your journey continues eastwards to the mighty Canadian Rockies.
Once again you will see a spectacular range of scenery as you
travel across ranchlands, along rocky lakeshores, over high mountain
passes and through the remarkable tunnels that form part of the
rich rail history of the Canadian Rockies. Today’s highlights
include Craigellachie where the last spike of the Canadian Pacific
Railway was driven, the climb over Rogers Pass, the Kicking Horse
Canyon and Spiral Tunnels of Yoho National Park and the magnificent
glaciers and snow-covered peaks of the Canadian Rockies in winter.

Day 4 Banff to Jasper
Today you will travel from Banff to Jasper along the scenic Icefields
Parkway. A stop will be made for lunch en route. Overnight in
Jasper.
Day 5 Explore Jasper National Park
Enjoy a day at leisure exploring Jasper National Park. Possible
activities include ice walking in Maligne Canyon, downhill skiing
at Marmot Basin, snowshoeing or sleigh riding at The Fairmont
Jasper Park Lodge. Overnight in Jasper.
Day 6 Jasper to Lake Louise
Travel along the Icefields Parkway to Lake Louise. A stop will
be made for lunch (included) before arriving at The Fairmont
Chateau Lake Louise for your three-night stay.
Day 7 Free Day in Lake Louise
Enjoy two free days at The Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise and participate
in some of the winter activities offered at the resort. Optional
activities include sleigh rides, snowshoeing, cross-country skiing,
downhill skiing and stargazing. Overnight at The Fairmont Chateau
Lake Louise.
Day 8 Free Day in Lake Louise
Enjoy two free days at The Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise and participate
in some of the winter activities offered at the resort. Optional
activities include sleigh rides, snowshoeing, cross-country skiing,

Day 9 Lake Louise to Calgary
This morning visit the highlights of Banff on a sightseeing tour.
Among the points of interest are visits the to Cave and Basin
Centre, Bow Falls, Surprise Corner and the Hoodoos. After a stop
for lunch (not included) there will be time to visit the Whyte
Museum of the Canadian Rockies before your afternoon transfer
to the “Stampede City” of Calgary. A visit to the Calgary Tower
is included this evening or tomorrow morning where you can view
the city and the Rocky Mountains in the distance. Overnight in
Calgary.
Day 10 Calgary Departure
Your vacation ends with check-out from your Calgary hotel. |

Day 1 Calgary Arrival

City” independently. Admission to the Calgary Tower with views of the

Depart Calgary this morning for a tour to Banff and Lake Louise.

through winding river canyons and forests surrounded by the peaks
of the Coast and Cascade Mountains to the lush green fields of
the Fraser River Valley. Highlights include the steep slopes
and rock sheds along the Thompson River and the rushing waters
of Hell’s Gate in the Fraser Canyon. Your rail journey ends on
arrival in Vancouver this evening. Admission to the Vancouver
Lookout with spectacular views of the city, mountains and ocean
