PureWest Energy Announces Kristel Franklin as Chief Operating Officer

DENVER, Colo. – PureWest Energy, LLC (“PureWest”), an independent natural gas company based in Wyoming’s Green River Basin, announced the appointment of Kristel Franklin as Chief Operating Officer. As the newest addition to PureWest’s leadership team, Kristel will play a pivotal role in new business development opportunities, advancing asset development, and furthering the company’s differentiated natural gas strategy. Prior to her role as COO, Kristel served on PureWest’s Board of Managers since 2020.

Franklin began her career in energy exploration and production (“E&P”) with ExxonMobil in 2003. She has since amassed nearly 20 years of diversified experience with an extensive background in domestic onshore projects. Franklin brings to PureWest a strong portfolio of expertise across integrated E&P and midstream operations. Most recently, she led Moontower Resources for Oaktree Capital in the Permian Basin from 2018 onward, achieving a successful exit in late 2022.
